Attorney Profile

I have been an immigration attorney since 1986 and have successfully represented thousands of clients from countries all over the world with all types of immigration issues. I am dedicated to providing personal attention and care to each of my clients. I take personal responsibility for every aspect of my clients’ cases. My clients can depend on me to keep them informed about their cases and to be readily available when they have questions or need help.

I focus entirely on the practice of immigration law, with an emphasis on family immigration matters, including adjustment of status, conditional residence, consular processing, and fiancé visas, as well as political asylum and TPS, national interest waivers, and citizenship. I also represent clients facing removal proceedings, and have successfully handled many cases of cancellation of removal, political asylum, and adjustment of status in immigration court.

I appreciate that immigration problems can impact family, employment opportunities, and futures. Therefore, I strive to make each client’s immigration process as affordable and as stress-free as possible by providing personal, prompt and professional service.

I have taught immigration law at both San Francisco State University and City College of San Francisco for more than 15 years. I received a Senior Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching from San Francisco State University. Other awards I have received include several Outstanding Volunteer awards from the AIDS Legal Referral Panel of San Francisco, Outstanding Volunteer in Public Service from the Volunteer Legal Services Association of the San Francisco Bar Association, and the Wing Chong Memorial Pro Bono Award for outstanding pro bono legal services from the American Immigration Lawyers Association Northern California Chapter.
